An Evening with Ellington, the Duke

About the production

The TRT Orchestra, and the TRT Singers and Swingers, invite all who are young at heart, to join them in a cabaret setting, as they bring to life the music of America’s greatest and perhaps most prolific composer, the one and only Duke Ellington. Hear the singing, and see the swinging to the Duke’s songs like “Satin Doll”, “Mood Indigo”, “Sophisticated Lady”, “It Don’t Mean A Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing)”, and thrill to excerpts from his extended orchestral pieces, and his famous “Second Sacred Concert”.
